Several years ago Roger Schmid, the founder of Septimus Spyder Soft Drinks, found an old recipe book hidden amongst some of his father's belongings whilst clearing out his parent's loft. Upon asking his father about it he was told it belonged to his grandfather before him who used to pride himself upon his secret ginger beer recipe...

Back in the earlier part of last century, Granpa Wilhelm Caspar Schmid used to brew ginger beer to his own secret recipe in the mountains of Wellhausen near Fraunfeld, Eastern Switzerland. Ably assisted by diminutive sidekick, Septimus Spyder, he dug deep holes in the winter snow base to keep the freshly bottled product cool until the summer festive season.

Spyder™ Ginger Beer and Spyder™ Dandelion & Burdock are now brewed to those original recipes and bottled in the Burton on Trent , Staffoedshire.
